Kokoro · heart and mind
In Japanese, kokoro does not separate the heart from the mind. It is the whole of what a person brings to their work — care and judgement at once. That is an odd name for a compliance firm, which is precisely why we chose it.
Payroll and statutory compliance in India are usually handled either with care and no judgement, which produces slow, timid work, or with judgement and no care, which produces filings that are technically on time and quietly wrong. We are trying to do both.
What we do
Kokoro Vision LLP is a limited liability partnership registered in India and based in Gurugram, Haryana. We act as the Employer of Record for people hired in India by companies headquartered elsewhere — which means we sign the employment contract, run the payroll, hold the statutory registrations and carry the employer's liability, while the employee works full time for the client that selected them.
Around that core we run contractor engagement, managed payroll for companies that already have an Indian subsidiary, inward remittance documentation, talent sourcing, and the incorporation work for clients ready to set up their own entity.
We work with founders and finance teams in the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, the UAE, Australia and the European Union.
How we work
Every cost is on the sheet you see before you commit — statutory contributions, insurance, our fee, the FX margin. If something was not on that sheet, it does not appear on the invoice.
The person who replies to you is the person who prepared the computation. When you ask why the provident fund line changed, you get the reason, not an escalation.
If a role looks like it creates permanent establishment exposure, or a contractor arrangement looks like disguised employment, we tell you at the quoting stage. Winning the engagement is not worth handing you a problem.
EOR is a stage, not a destination. Once your India headcount justifies a subsidiary, we set it up and move your team across rather than pretending the maths has not changed.
Where we are
Our office is in Gurugram, in the Delhi NCR region — close to the largest concentration of corporate India, and in the same time zone as the teams we run. Employment is administered wherever your people actually sit, because Indian labour law is state law: the leave entitlement, the professional tax slab, the Shops and Establishments registration and the standing orders all follow the state of work, not the state of the employer.
We currently support employees across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and remote locations in between.
